SM2637- FLUTE ABAYA

The Flute Abaya is defined by linear cord construction placed directly onto the fabric surface.

Cut in a clean A-line silhouette, the structure remains stable at the shoulders while falling straight through the body. The base fabric is matte crepe with a fine grain, allowing the surface detail to remain visible without reflection.

The neckline is a structured stand collar, fully wrapped in tightly spaced horizontal rows of braided cord. This creates a dense, ribbed texture around the neck with a consistent, controlled finish.

From the base of the collar, vertical cord lines run down the center front panel. The lines are evenly spaced and applied in parallel, forming a narrow bib that ends above the mid-torso. At its base, the lines connect into a small geometric grid, acting as a visual anchor to the panel.

At the cuffs, the same cord is used to form a stepped motif built from repeated linear layers. The design is constructed through horizontal bands and rising contours, maintaining the same thickness and spacing used in the front panel.

The abaya closes through a concealed front placket, keeping the surface uninterrupted. All cord work is executed in tone-on-tone, relying on texture rather than contrast.
